A peaceful mountain paradise
Judith's Garden Bed and Breakfast is in the small mountain hamlet of Goshen, located in central Vermont near the town of Brandon. We are situated at 1700' elevation on the western slope of the Green Mountains, with a view to New York's Adirondack Mountains. It is a wonderfully quiet and peaceful spot with no other houses in sight.

Despite our secluded country location, we are near several picturesque Vermont towns with their unique shops, restaurants, interesting architecture and human bustle. It is but a fifteen-minute drive to Brandon, and only thirty minutes to Middlebury and Rutland. Twenty-five enjoyable restaurants are within a forty-minute drive. And our central Vermont location makes it so easy to explore many interesting parks, museums and historic sites while staying here at Judith's Garden Bed and Breakfast.

Splendid walking, hiking and cross-country skiing
We are situated in the Moosalamoo region of the Green Mountain National Forest, The region has country roads and mountain trails for walking, hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. A short walk from our door takes you to Hogback Mountain and a spectacular view of the mountains to the east and south. Vermont's famous Long Trail is but a ten-minute drive away, and there are miles of other hiking trails and walking paths nearby. Some are gentle and some are strenuous; there is truly "something for everyone". In addition, the region's tranquil mountain lakes and crystal clear rivers provide many opportunities for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing.

In the winter you can ski directly from our house to the groomed cross-country trails of Blueberry Hill or set off on show shoes to explore the surrounding fields and forest. Back country skiing and more snow shoeing possibilities are close by.
